Fabulous Flemington!

We may still be dressing up in our winter woolies but there is a definite scent of spring in the air with a number of smart ones resuming at Flemington on Saturday.

And we head to Headquarters with four nice horses kicking off with Mythical in the second race, the 2000m handicap.

Getting back on a track suiting on-pacers at Mornington at her most recent outing, the daughter of Thorn Park strips hard fit for recent racing and whilst up in grade, she is never far away.

Michael Walker rides Mythical for the first time and we are expecting her usual honest effort.

Next up for Ballymore is the talented African Pulse (pictured) who is having his first run since late April.

A three times winner from only eight starts, the four-year-old is unbeaten from two first up runs and has shown a definite liking for Flemington.

Apprentice Harry Kasim takes the ride and we are hoping on his last day of riding in Australia (he heads to Singapore to ride for the Stephen Burridge stable next week) he can kick home at least one winner for us.

"It would be great to send him off with a winner," Michael Moroney said, adding that "both of his rides are in with good chances."

Drawn nicely in barrier three down the 1000m straight course, African Pulse was originally due to resume a couple of weeks ago - "but we had to scratch him because he had an elevated temperature," said Moroney.

"With 60kg he would have found it tough," he continued, "but Harry's claim brings him into the race."

The classy Sabrage is our next runner, resuming in the fifth race, a 1410m handicap.

A horse who usually improves with racing, he does however have the class to feature and we are looking forward to seeing him finish off well for Nick Hall.

Harry Kasim's other ride for us is Noble Park who, after a game last start second to the in-form Prince Of Capers, looks close to a win.

Whilst drawn awkwardly in barrier 14, he too will appreciate the claim and a slight rise in distance also suits.
