Falcon Of Malta, Milford and White Bear represent us at Caulfield today.

White Bear is the first to go in race one over 1200 metres under Declan Bates.

“He’s holding his condition well and he continues to work well,” Mike Moroney said.

“The draw looks awkward from barrier 10 however, there does not appear to be an abundance of early speed so if circumstances permit we will ask Declan to go forward.

“We are happy with the horse and with some luck I cannot see a reason for him not to run well.”

Falcon Of Malta (pictured) runs the third race over 1600 metres with Patrick Moloney in the saddle.

It is the second start this preparation for the Ballymore-homebred who has pleased at home with his track work.

“He has had a jumpout since his first-up run and his work at home has been good,” Mike said.

“This is a big step up in class for him today however, he’s fitter and this will tell us a bit mor about where he fits into things.

“The distance suits and he’s there to run well.”

Milford starts a new campaign in the last race over 1400 metres.

“Could not he happier with him,” Mike said. “He looks great after a good spell and his work has been sharp.

“He doesn’t have a good first-up record and the trip is too short for him but the way he has been at home I will not be surprised to see him run a cheeky race.”
