IT'S NO SECRET WE HAVE SOME GOOD CHANCES AT SANDOWN TODAY

Four runners for us today on the Lakeside course at Sandown, headed by last start winner Crimmo.

Crimmo (pictured) runs in the sixth race over 1400 metres with John Allen to ride again and the last start Ararat winner has pleased Mike Moroney since scoring on debut last month.

“He’s a horse we have always liked and expected to go well at his first start and he did,” Mike said.

“He’s done well since and he’s drawn to get a nice run again.

“Obviously today is harder but it’s nice progression and he should be suited by the track so I’m expecting him to be competitive.”

Mighty Sapphire is the first to go in the second race over 1200 metres with Jamie Mott aboard.

“He disappointed slightly first-up but he had a legitimate excuse being slowly away but was working home late and was only beaten three-lengths,” Mike said.

“He’s come on for that run and he finds himself in a race with first starters which will make things interesting.

"Our horse has done well and with ordinary luck I’m expecting him to be in the finish today.”

Traduce has his second start for the stable in the fourth race over 2100 metres.

“He’s getting out to a more suitable trip today and I do think he’ll be suited by Sandown,” Mike said.

“On ratings he’s the clear best in the race, we’ve taken advantage of Logan McNeill’s claim to help him and I’m sure he will run better today.”

No Secret rounds out our day in the seventh race over 1300 metres with Madison Lloyd riding.

“She’s improved a lot for her first-up run at Pakenham where she was really strong through the line and she gets out over a bit further today,” Mike said.

“I’m happy with her, she’s done well and with natural improvement I’m expecting her to be hard to beat.”
