Toronto Terrier, Do I and The Duke Of Dubai are racing with Toronto Terrier the first to go in the second race, the 3YO Maiden Plate over 1427 metres with Jamie Mott to ride.

“He’s better for his first-up run at Sandown three weeks ago where he just raced fresh,” Mike Moroney said. “He’s pleased us since and has drawn nicely in four in a field where there are some well-bred first starters.

“I know he has the ability, it’s a matter of harnessing it and I’d like to think he will show it today.”

Do I is in the third race for maidens over the same 1427 metres with Daniel Stackhouse riding.

“We’ve put blinkers on him and I do think they will make all the difference,” Mike said. “He’s worked in them and jumped out with them and they have certainly focussed him.

“He’s shown me enough ability to say that he should not be a maiden, he’s nice and fit and with the blinkers on today I will be disappointed if he does not run well.”

The Duke Of Dubai (pictured) is in race eight over 1427 metres with Daniel Stackhouse aboard.

“He’s done well since his win at Sandown three weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier with him,” Mike said.

“The wide draw is my one concern, he was able to dictate in front last start and might not get that luxury today. Luck in running is going to be crucial but the horse is very well, has won on the course and I’m sure he will be hard to beat.”
