DIFFERENT LOCATIONS FOR US TODAY

Three runners at different courses for us today with Our Birdsong at Eagle Farm, Philadelphia Storm at Flemington and Wisaka heading to Bendigo.

“She’s in good order and we’re happy with her in what will be her biggest test to date,” Mike said.

“She’s had no luck with drawing the outside which we can’t do anything about but this is a competitive field with a bit of speed in it so she could get across and fins a spot.

“We know this is a big step up for her but it’s worth a chance at a stakes race with her pedigree and off the minimum I’m hoping she can run a cheeky race.”

Philadelphia Storm (pictured) kicks off a new preparation in the last race at Flemington over 1100 metres with Zac Spain to ride.

“We did not have any grass to gallop on this week at Flemington so he had a strong jumpout last Friday where Zac came to ride him and was pleased with the trial,” Mike said.

“Barrier one might mot be the best place to draw down the straight but he’s ready to go and he’s a horse that is only lightly-raced with good ability so he’s an interesting runner.

“He has raced near the speed in his four previous races and he’s still on the fresh side but against that he’s well weighted and I will be happy to see him hitting the line strongly.”

Wisaka is in the Elmore Cup over 1600 metres with Jake Duffy in the saddle.

“I thought his first-up effort was very sound finishing second over 1400 metres at Pakenham and he gets a nice weight drop here,” Mike said.

“To counter that it’s a stronger race so it will help him.

“He’s trained on well, he’s drawn well and I’m confident he will give a good account of himself.”
