Thebestwinoftheday

There was no more impressive winner at Terang on Monday than the lightly raced up-and-comer Thebestmoneycanbuy who broke his maiden by a stunning four lengths.

Always in control after jumping straight to the front, the eye-catching chestnut had his rivals off the bit and chasing from well before the turn and the closer to home he got the further in front he was.

Appreciating the step up to the mile for the first time, the four-year-old surprised the stable with his early pace - leading not in the plan.

"He just pulled his way to the front," Michael Moroney said, "and did it easily!"

Very green at his previous outing - drifting out badly when looking a winning chance over 1400m at Ballarat - Thebestmoneycanbuy is improving with racing.

Raced by the GG Syndicate, Michael Antill, Bill Vasilopoulos, Peter Walker and Matt Fraser, Thebestmoneycanbuy is a $32,500 NZ Ready To Run graduate spied by Paul Moroney.

He is by Danehill's Gr.2 winner Danroad out of a placed half sister to the 15 times winner Inter Musician from the family of the Gr.1 winners Gurner's Lane, Sovereign Red, Trichelle, Foxwood, Purple and our outstanding galloper Xcellent.

In other stable news, we are very happy with the progress of star filly Brazilian Pulse who won another jump-out at Flemington last Friday morning – as did Shylock’s Daughter and Skiddaw Peak. Meanwhile King Pulse - who struck early interference in the Lightning Handicap - has pulled up well and is on target for the Newmarket.

Ballymore congratulates Kerrin McEvoy on his second Blue Diamond success aboard Sepoy at Caulfield on Saturday. We have very fond memories of his first success aboard our very own True Jewels in 2001.

Congratulations also to stable clients Rupert & Cheryl Legh, Noel & Judith Griffin, Wayne Mitchell and Andrew Ramsden on their Oakleigh Plate victoy with Eagle Falls.
