WINNING CHANCES AT BENDIGO TODAY

De Be Eleven, Seattle Dancer and Cirrina are our runners at Bendigo today.

De Be Eleven runs in the first race, the Fillies and Mares Maiden Plate over 1400m with Jake Noonan riding.

The daughter of Zoustar ran well on debut at Mornington last month and has pleased Mike Moroney since.

“I was pleased with her debut effort and she’s done well since,” Moroney said. “She’s up a bit in trip today on a roomy track which should suit her.

“She raced a bit greenly first start and we’ve added blinkers today to help her, She strikes a winnable looking race today where there does not appear a huge amount of speed looking at it so with ordinary luck I’m expecting her to be in the finish.”

Seattle Dancer is in race two, the 3YO Fillies Maiden Plate over 1100m with Luke Currie aboard. It is the first start this preparation for the daughter of Redoute’s Choice.

“She’s strengthened up nicely which is what we have been waiting for,” Moroney said.

“It’s a handy looking field of lightly-raced fillies but she’s drawn nicely in barrier two and we’ll look to take advantage of that and race forward.

“The track is listed as soft and this will be her first go on it, that’s my one query but she is there to run well in what looks a handy race.”

Cirrina (pictured) rounds out our day in race eight, the Fillies and Mares benchmark 70 handicap with Luke Nolen to ride.

“She’s been racing well in similar grade in the city and she certainly tries hard,” Moroney said.

“This looks a typically competitive mares race where luck in running will play a part.

“Our mare is fit and drawn well in barrier two so she should be able to be on speed and will run well.”
