Three runners for us at Seymour on Thursday including Time To Dazzle on debut.

Time To Dazzle runs in race one, the 3YO Fillies Maiden Plate over 1300m with Michael Dee riding from barrier one.

The daughter of Makfi has had some practice and is ready to go to the races according to Mke Moroney.

“We get first use of the track which is always a help,” Moroney said. “It’s terrific that she has drawn a good barrier as it gives her a great start as part of her education.

“She does look to have drawn a hot race as you would expect at this time of year - there’s a bit of stakes form and city form in there and some well bred fillies of which she is one.

“It’s a nice starting point for her, I think she will want to go further as she gets into it but it is a great place for her to kick off her career.”

Spirit Legend runs for the second time this preparation in race five, the Maiden Plate over 1600m with Luke Currie aboard from barrier seven.

“It’s not ideal as he need further but he’s been balloted out a couple of times so he needs another run before we can get him to 2000m,” Moroney explained.

“He’s learned a bit from his debut run and while I’m not expecting him to win I’ll be happy to see him running on at the finish here to set him up for something longer next time.”

Real Gent (pictured) runs in race nine, the benchmark 64 Handicap over 2027m and will jump from barrier 13 with Luke Currie in the saddle.

It is the fifth run this preparation for the import, which finished at Cranbourne over 1600m last time out.

“The wide draw is less than ideal but it is what it is,” Moroney said. “He certainly has enough speed to cross and up in trip he should be able to lead or be in the first three.

“As the weights suggest it is a very even field and his best should be good enough to have him in the finish.

“He’s very well in himself so with ordinary luck I’m expecting him to run well in what does look a very even contest.”
