TWO CHANCES IN THE SAME RACE AT CRANBOURNE

Living Dangerously and The Memory Man bid to keep our winning run continuing at Cranbourne on Wednesday.

Both run in the second race, the Maiden Plate over 1400m with Nikita Beriman aboard Living Dangerously and Mark Zahra on The Memory Man.

The Memory Man made a pleasing debut to finish second on debut over 1200m at Geelong last month and has come on for the experience.

“I thought he would run well and he did which is satisfying,” Mike Moroney said.

“He handled the heavy going and showed good speed to race in second most of the way.

“He’s drawn extremely wide, one from the outside which is less than ideal but we will just have to take our chance in what looks a handy enough field with some form in it.

“If he can get a trouble free run then I think he can run well.”

It is the second start this preparation for Living Dangerously who finished unplaced at Tatura over 1100m on July 1.

“She’s had a jumpout with a barrier blanket and it helped her get away so hopefully that gives her a better chance,” Moroney said.

“She’ll jump from barrier seven after the scratchings so she should be able to put herself in the race if she gets away cleanly.

“Her fitness level has improved but it will be up to her to behave herself. The step up in trip on heavy ground is a test but I do expect her to run a better race than her form suggests.”
