A PAIR RESUMING AT SEYMOUR ON SUNDAY

Two runners for the stable at Seymour on Sunday after both our runners performed well at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

Alburq and Strike Force both placed at the city venue and our Seymour runners are both first-up.

Rue De Rennes is the first to go in race two, the Maiden Plate over 1400m with Patrick Moloney to ride from barrier one.

The four-year-old daughter of Cape Blanco has pleased Mike Moroney coming into the race.

“Her jump outs have been good and her work leading into this run has been strong,” Moroney said.

“This is a nice starting point and whilst she will run well she may find the 1400m a touch short I’d like to see her running on late.”

Real Gent (pictured) resumes in race eight and the import has had the ultimate gear change since he last raced.

Real Gent has also drawn barrier one, this time in race eight, the Benchmark 64 Handicap over 1200m with Jordan Childs to ride.

“He’s now a gelding and is more tractable,” Moroney said. “He has pleased me in his jumpouts and shown good speed.

“Scratchings have made his task easier and if he runs up to what he’s been showing us at home then I’m expecting him to run a cheeky race.”
