Three runners from the stable heading to Moe on Cup day.

Bill The Bee, Top Of The Range and Pedro Ximenez represent the team on a track currently rated a Soft (5).

Bill The Bee is the first to go in race three, the Maiden Plate over 1600m with Jordan Childs to ride from barrier six.

The three-year-old son of So You Think ran well to finish second at his last start at Ballarat on September 5

“He’s had a minor setback but we’re happy with him,” Moroney said. “The only little query I have with him is fitness level which is why I gave him a jumpout last week.

“It does not look a deep race and provided he can cop with the mile than I do think he will be hard to beat with luck in running.”

Top Of The Range runs in race eight, the Benchmark 78 Handicap over 1600m with Jordan Childs to ride from barrier three.

The son of Savabeel was not at his best when he ran first-up at Geelong on September 15.

“He caught a bit of a bug after that first start so we had to take him quietly and he’s back looking terrific,” Moroney said.

“He too has the gap between starts and he’s likely to be lacking a bit in fitness.

“I’d think that whatever he does here he will improve on but in saying that, he’s there to be running well.”

Pedro Ximenez (pictured) is in race nine, the last race of the day, the Benchmark 70 Handicap over 2050m with Jordan Childs to ride and jumping from barrier three after scratchings.

It is the second start this preparation for the son of High Chaparral which resumed over 1606m at Benalla on September 28.

“Ordinarily you’d think 2000m might be a bit short for him,” Moroney said. “But what he will find in his favour is if the track is rain affected as that will suit him.

“He’s fit enough and forward enough and I’m expecting him to run a good race.”
