A busy day for the stable on Sunday with four runners heading to Sale.

Dodge City, Little Rock, Parsifal and The Delphi

The Delphi is the first to go in race three, the Maiden Plate over 1400m with Patrick Moloney to ride.

“It’s his first run this campaign and he’s had enough work,” Moroney said. “It looks an even sort of race and I’d be thinking the distance is right for him.

“There are some scratchings to reduce the field so he’ll jump from barrier seven and I would not be surprised to see him run a cheeky race.”

Little Rock has not had the best of luck with barrier draws but has barrier two in the fourth race, the Maiden Plate over 1400m with Brian Higgins to ride.

The four-year-old daughter of Fastnet Rock last raced when finishing fifth at Sale in February.

“She’s a big powerful mare now and she’s going along really well,” Moloney said. “That said she’s been given plenty of time so it’s time for her to stand up.

“She’s got gate speed and drawn nicely so I’d expect her to be forward and even though she’s got plenty of improvement in her I’d be disappointed if she doesn’t run well.”

Dodge City (pictured) is in race seven, the Benchmark 64 Handicap over 1717m with Patrick Moloney to ride from barrier seven.

“I’m actually pleased he’s drawn out a bit as hat gives Patrick plenty of time and gives the horse some room,” Moroney said.

“He’s up in class but in well at the weights and Patrick back on.

“We can’t work out why he disappointed last start apart from the track conditions but he looks well and is working well so I’d be thinking he will run well.”

Parsifal rounds out the day when he resumes in the last race of the day, the Benchmark 64 Handicap with Patrick Moloney to ride carrying 61kg.

“The question mark is the weight - we did think about claiming but we decided to leave Patrick on as he’s a horse that can do a few things wrong and Patrick knows him well,” Moroney said.

“We’re very happy with the horse, his jumpouts have been good and looks to have turned the corner mentally.

“It’s a strong race for this class but the way he’s been working I’d expect him to be competitive.”
