Play That Song in a Listed Race at Doomben heads the three runners for the stable on Saturday.

Play That Song (pictured) runs in the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet (1630m) where she has drawn barrier one and to be ridden by Michael Cahill.

The daughter of Smart Missile was impressive coming from second last to score over 1875m at Newcastle last start and Mike Moroney is keen to test her in stronger company.

“The barrier may not be ideal for her as she’s a filly that gets back and then looks to go through her gears,” Moroney said.

“The drop back in distance is against her as well but she’s a filly we’ve always had an opinion of and she deserves a chance in a race like this.

“She’s racing well and has settled in well in Queensland.

“If she can get some luck and get a clear run in the big field then it will not surprise at all to see her in the finish.”

Top Of The Range and Lakhoni are the other runners for the team at Caulfield.

Top Of The Range runs in the last race of the day, the Victorian Transport Association Handicap over 2000m with Patrick Moloney to ride.

The son of Savabeel is running for the sixth time this campaign and finished a close second last start at Caulfield over 1700m.

“He’s drawn out a bit bit is nicely weighted,” Moroney said. “He’s trained on well and we can’t fault him.

“He possibly got to the front a bit soon last start so if he can time his run I’m expecting the trip to suit him ideally.

“There are some decent horses in it but I think it is a winnable race with ordinary luck in running.”

Lakhoni runs in race five, the Changing Places Real Estate Handicap over 1200m with Patrick Moloney to ride.

Lakhoni made ground to finish fourth last start over 1300m at Sandown and Moroney is expecting a forward showing over slightly shorter.

“It’s a strong field for this time of the year,” Moroney said. “He’s had some practice at Caulfield where he was unlucky in the Spring.

“We will get a line on where he sits in the order of things and the wide draw is not that big an issue and I’d like to think he’ll be finishing strongly.

“We do think he’s a horse with potential and we will get a better idea of where he fits in after the race on Saturday.”
