Moroney happy with Sandown trio

Three runners for the stable at Sandown on Saturday, each at different stages of their campaigns.
First up is the promising two-year-old Toluka whose latest unplaced run at Flemington is best forgiven - the son of General Nediym getting a bit upset in the birdcage prior to the race.

"They can do that at their hometrack," said Michael Moroney who is prepared to give the lightly raced gelding another chance.
"Brad Rawiller thought he may have got his tongue back also. This is a very strong field on Saturday but he is a nice horse and we are very happy with him. The 1200m should suit as should a bit of give in the track."
Toluka, an $80,000 Melbourne Premier graduate, had previously won his maiden at Kyneton by an impressive six lengths. He contests the third race on Saturday's programme, the Purrealist Inglis Bonus.
Stepping up to the 2100m of the Ready Workforce Handicap is Abitofado who was in strong winning form at Sandown on July 1.
Hard fit fourth up, he has progessed nicely since his last run and with Dean Holland's 1.5kg claim he comes in well.

"He is up in class and distance," said Moroney, "but Dean has a very good record on him (four rides, three wins) and once he strikes form he tends to keep it - he should prove hard to beat."
Contesting the final race, the Viva Photography Handicap is Redondo Beach - a horse well regarded by the stable.
"He will probably find the 1600m too short but he is a nice wet track stayer in the making. I would not be surprised to see him run a nice race."

Am $87,500 Karaka yearling, Redondo Beach is a half brother to the W.S Cox Plate hero El Segundo. Another of his brothers has been in fine form of late - El Catino easily winning his last two at Warrnambool and Ballarat.
In further stable news, our Gr.1 winner Mr Baritone is back in work after enjoying ten days in the sun in a Queensland paddock. He will be set for the Gr.3 Bletchingly Stakes at Caulfield on August 1.
A Sydney campaign will then beckon for the tough gelding. Meanwhile Sarrera heads to New Zealand for a Gr.1 campaign and we will hopefully see him back here in October for a crack at the W.S Cox Plate.
