Runners to two states for the stable on Saturday, headed by two at the valuable Magic Millions meeting at the Gold Coast.

Milwaukee and Strike Force are in Queensland while Pedro Ximenez is closer to home at Werribee.

Milwaukee (pictured) runs in race six at the Gold Coast, the $1 million Magic Millions Cup (1400m) where he will be ridden by Patrick Moloney and jump from barrier five after scratchings.

Milwaukee was only narrowly beaten at his last start over 1400m at Warwick Farm and while this is a tough race Mike Moroney is expecting a forward showing.

“He has improved since his last start and has drawn ideally,” Moroney said.

“As you would expect with the money on offer this is quite a strong race but he should get a nice sit behind what looks to be genuine speed \which will give him his chance to be in the finish.

“The race is wide open now with the favourites drawing wide and with a clear run I’m expecting Milwaukee to run well.”.

Strike Force runs in the same race where he will be ridden by Jamie Kah and jump from barrier 10.

The five-year-old finished third over 1600m at Warwick Farm at his last start and Moroney is delighted Strike Force has made the field.

“This is quite a strong race but he gets a chance to run in a million dollar race,” Moroney said.

“He has worked strongly leading into this race and I’m expecting a forward showing from him.

“He has drawn awkwardly so he will need a great ride from Jamie Kah who is riding in great form .

“If he gets luck in running he can be in the finish as this race is wide open now with the main chances drawing very wide.”

Pedro Ximenez is in race six at Werribee, the Benchmark 58 Handicap over 2640m and to be ridden by Rhys McLeod.

The son of High Chaparral has had three runs this campaign and will appreciate the step up in distance.

“He continues to work and look well but he has drawn awkwardly,” Moroney said.

“Whilst he has drawn well that really doesn't suit him as was shown last start where he had barrier one.

“He is a big striding horse that likes to build momentum and if Rhys can get him in the clear he is a strong winning chance.”
