Four runners in good races at Flemington on Oaks day for the stable.

Lilymorn runs in race one, the DrinkWise Plate over 1700m, War Legend is in race two Twitter Trophy over 1800m, Tribal Wisdom in the third race, the Off The Track Subzero Handicap over 1400m and Prince Of Arran in race seven, the Seppelt Wines Stakes over 1800m.

Lilymorn finds herself in a strong race but Mike Moroney is happy with her going into the race.

“She’s improved again and worked lovely since her last start,” Moroney said.

“I think she deserves a chance in a race like this and with a bit of luck and if she does everything right then I think she can figure in the finish.”

War Legend has had two runs back now and is ready to run a good race.

“We had him in today and Saturday but have elected to run in this race mainly because of the distance,” Moroney said.

“I think the extra distance will suit him better than the mile on Saturday.

“I think he can race a bit further forward and it is possibly a bit easier than the race on Saturday.

“He’s fitter now and ready to run a good race despite the wide barrier.”

Tribal Wisdom (pictured) is another fitter for recent racing and he takes his place in the greys race.

“We just can’t draw a decent barrier with him unfortunately but we’ve been really happy with his work,” Moroney said.

“With a quick start he might be able to get across without having to work too hard so Patrick will have a decision to make.

“If he can get any sort of luck in running then I do think he will be hard to beat.”

The lightly-raced Prince Of Arran rounds out the day and Moroney feels the race will be another learning experience for the son of Nadeem.

“He’s drawn nicely in three which will help in what looks a strong race,” Moroney said.

“He’s the least experienced in the field but it will be a good learning curve for him at this level.

“We do like our horse but this preparation has all been about experience. He’s there to run his best but he’ll be off to the paddock after this and be a lovely korse in the Autumn.”
