Quality Quartet Tackle Bendigo

The stable looks to have a host of strong winning chances at Bendigo on Thursday headed by So You Think colt San Vincenzo in the maiden plate over 1300m with stable jockey Patrick Moloney booked to ride.

Coming off the back of too encouraging runs, San Vincenzo looks well placed to break maiden ranks, although the heavy rated track may play against the striking son of champion racehorse So You Think.

“Our main concern is the heavy10 track conditions, although they have received some good weather in the last couple of days so it may come back,” trainer Mike Moroney said.

“If he runs I think he’ll run very well and he’s a colt we’ve always thought highly of.”

Butler Butler (Commands) will be the second runner on the card when he takes his place in the maiden event over 1600m.

Drawn barrier nine, Butler Butler comes up against a reasonably strong field and is another who will not be ideally suited to the heavy track conditions.
“He showed significant improvement last start which has resulted in being a strong form race and on his work he’s ready to run a strong race,” Moroney said.

Wichita Woman makes her first up appearance in race even on the card – the Rating 64 event over 1500m – and Moroney has been very pleased with how she is coming to hand this preparation following a deserved spell.

“She’s really matured and strengthened since last prep and the roomy Bendigo track should suit her down to the ground.”

“Providing the track doesn’t deteriorate too much, it looks a winnable race for her.”

Wichita Woman (High Chaparral) was able to win fresh up last preparation while the team is looking forward to what will be an exciting season ahead.
The regally bred Paterangi (Redoute’s Choice) will be the fourth and final runner when he resumes in the Rating 64 event over 1400m.

“Again, not ideally suited by heavy track conditions so we’re hoping to see some improvement for Thursday,” Moroney said.

“He’s a horse that has showed good promise and can certainly be competitive in a fresh up state.”
