Lord Barrington caps off consistent run of form

Lord Barrington (pictured) once again illustrated his resounding toughness and consistency when overcoming the widest of barrier draws to take out the Moniek Sambor Tile Importer Handicap over 1200m at Caulfield yesterday.

Flying the gates under the astute guidance of Jake Bayliss, Lord Barrington (Darci Brahma x Della Lobra) recorded his fifth career win and has taken his stakes earnings past $150,000.

"He's been up for some time, but just continues to thrive in his work and today he really showed us he's in just super form," trainer Mike Moroney said.

"The older he has got, the more he has learnt to relax and that has really been the making of him."

The son of Darci Brahma as proven to be a model of consistency throughout his career only failing to receive a cheque on the one single occasion from his 27 career starts - a magnificent achievement.

Lord Barrington carries the colours of long time client Rupert Legh and was purchased by Paul Moroney Bloodstock at the 2013 Karaka Premier Yearling Sale.

The team will have two runners at Wodonga on Monday including first starter Milwaukee (Fastnet Rock x Hummingbird) who lines up in the Telstra Business Centre Albury Maiden Plate over 1200m.

"A very nice three-year-old in the making and whatever he does he will take plenty of improvement for the experience and outing," Moroney said.

"He's shown good ability to date and we have liked what he has shown us at home."

The second runner on the program is Beyond Beautiful who finally steps up to a suitable distance and will be have the blinkers on for the first time in the PJ Murphy Real Estate Maiden Plate over 2050m.

"This is her distance and with the blinkers on we think she will be hard to beat," Moroney enthused.

"She's pleased us in her work her first two runs this preparation have brought her on nicely and we're hopeful of a competitive performance."
