Maybe Moonee Valley?!

The Moonee Valley is track currently rated a soft 6 and we are looking for some rain before we decide to take our two talented gallopers About Square and Zazparella (pictured) to Saturday's meeting.

With both horses at their best with give in the ground, Michael Moroney will play it by ear and make up his mind closer to the day with both horses having upcoming alternatives in Sydney.

Meanwhile we are looking forward to a number of promising horses running elsewhere on the weekend, kicking off with War Legend who has accepted for Moe Saturday and Warrnambool Monday.

A horse who showed ability during his debut campaign earlier in the year, War Legend has been given time to mature, coming on nicely since being gelded.

"He has been going really well," said Moroney, "and he can run a forward race."

Sunday is our busiest day with three runners at Cranbourne, the first of whom is Loyalty Man in the opening event, a 1200m three-year-old maiden.

"He is a really nice horse," Moroney enthused.

"He is showing us ability and from a nice draw should run a good race."

Regally bred, Loyalty Man is a son of champion stallion Fastnet Rock and the French Group One winner Imperial Beauty.

Fellow debutant Tragic Love Story takes her place in the following event, a 1200m fillies and mares maiden and whilst she has not been with us for long she has trialled well.

"We are still tossing up whether to run her from the tricky draw," Moroney said.
Another well bred galloper, she is by Sebring out of the Group One winning Sir Tristram mare Isolda who has produced the Group Three winner Bid Spotter.

Our final runner for the day is in the last, Trendsetter having his first run since late January.

"He has not drawn well but some rain would help and he has been pleasing us."

"The 1400m may be a bit short for him but he is going well and it would be no surprise to see him run a bold race."
