2015 Magic Millions Sale

It may be a quiet week at the races for Ballymore but we are still very busy with Michael and Paul inspecting hundreds of horses at the annual Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

"I've got sore feet already!" Michael joked on the eve of the sale, very happy with the quality of the yearlings on offer.

"I think it is one of the strongest overall sales we've seen," he said - "there are sixty or seventy horses we'd happily go home with."

Meanwhile we have a runner at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, Kiwi Dreamer resuming in the Testa Rossa Plate, the third race on the card.

Having his first run since late October, the lightly raced three-year-old is on trial for a crack at the New Zealand Derby and Moroney is looking forward to seeing what the son of Pentire can do over a mile first up.

"He has had one barrier trial at Randwick to be readied for this," he said, noting that the bay gelding is still a bit raw - "he is green but a nice horse in the making."

"Whether it is this preparation or next for him we will see - but he is a natural stayer."

To be ridden by Glyn Schofield, Kiwi Dreamer has drawn nicely in barrier 5.
