The Fire Burns Strong Inside

One Ballymore's stable runners who has continued to impress co-trainer Chad Ormsby this time in is the lightly tried two-time winner, and Group 2 placegetter, The Fire Inside (pictured).

A daughter of dual Group 1 winner Sir Percy, The Fire Inside has come back this preparation refreshed, rejuvenated and looking in great order ahead of her 2014-15 campaign.

The Fire Inside has raced on eight occasions, for two wins and three placings, and has competed at Group level three times with her best result being a third in the Group 2 Cambridge Stud Sir Tristram Fillies Classic behind quality fillies Hera and Spellbinder.

Ormsby reports the now four-year-old has been working well and has matured nicely following a spell.

“She’s had a jumpout and she has come back a stronger horse,” said Ormsby.

“We’ll look at getting her to a trial shortly and from there Mike (Moroney) and myself will look at a few options as far as her plans for this season goes, but we are happy with where she is currently at.”

The Fire Inside is from the winning Bertolini mare, Buring Desire, and derives from the highly credentialed family of Omnicorp, Crimson, Miss Scarlatti, Shopaholic, Scared Falls and Vonusti.
