Divissima ready for race day return

The very promising daughter of Mastercraftsman, Divissima (pictured), will be making her long anticipated return in less than a week since running in the 2014 running of the Karaka Million earlier in the year.

An electrifying debut performance at Paeroa captured the imagination of her connections and the Karaka Million was to be her second race day start.

Unfortunately Divissima fell victim to the unforgiving weather Ellerslie received and was unable to illustrate her true ability on the rain affected going.

“It was unfortunate the rain came that day, but you can’t control the weather.” said Chad.

“We are really excited about her prospects going forward and she trialled really nicely at Te Teko last week.”

Raced by the Ballymore Ladies Syndicate, Divissima will be running at Taupo next Wednesday, August 20 and is right on target heading into her three-year-old campaign.

Chad and Mike have discussed several paths for the talented filly and a nomination for the Group 1 Schwepps Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield in October has been put forward as a possible path.

“We are looking at the Gold Trail as a likely target and all going well we will look at targeting some of the fillies Group 1 features,” said Chad.
