Picture Editor to Adelaide

A relatively quiet weekend awaits Ballymore with just the two runners - but hopefully both can run well and extend the great winning run we have been enjoying of late.

Our Saturday runner Picture Editor heads to Morphettville where he looks nicely placed in the National Jockeys Trust Handicap over 2250m.

Close up at his recent Melbourne outings, the imported Dansili gelding has again drawn out but with a bit of rain about that may well prove no disadvantage.

"He handles the rain affected tracks," Michael Moroney said, adding that Picture Editor's last start Moonee Valley sixth was a fair effort considering he had to be ridden further back than usual from an awkward draw.

"He ended up too far back and wide," he said.

"He is going really well," he added, "and it would be no surprise to see him win this race."

Drawn barrier ten, Picture Editor will be ridden by Adrian Patterson.

Silent Humour, who lines up in the second race - the Wangaratta Stock Foods Supports Trainers Maiden Plate - on Sunday, is our other weekend runner.

To be ridden by Mark Pegus from barrier five, the son of Elvstroem has been given plenty of time since his debut in July last year.

A slow maturing type, the chestnut has been a bit disappointing in jump-outs but, Moroney says "his work has been a way lot better recently."

"He is a nice looking horse who shows more on the track than he has in his jump-outs," he said.
