A busy and hopefully successful week kicks off at Bendigo on Friday where we saddle up three horses, all of whom look to be decent chances.

Nicely primed at her third run this time in and ready for a step up to the mile, Sazzana takes her place in the fourth event, the Monaco Sound Maiden Plate.

To be ridden by Jamie Mott, the daughter of Savabeel has drawn awkwardly in barrier 16 but Michael Moroney has been pleased with her progress.

“Both of her runs here have been good,” he said – pointing out that she also showed good promise in New Zealand. “She has drawn out a bit but she should again run very well.”

Hopefully it will be a running double for the stable with He’s All In working very well since a pleasing first up seventh at his first run since June last year.

Bred for a trip, he is undoubtedly at his best over even longer trips but Moroney said he would not be surprised if he ran nice race – noting that the lightly raced six-year-old’s second up form reads well.

Jamie Mott takes the ride on He’s All In who jumps from barrier ten in the fifth race, the Trevic Park Boutique Agistment Handicap.

Nothingbutthetruth meanwhile has fared better with the gates, drawing two in the sixth race, the Apia Handicap.

In winning form at Geelong two starts back, he did not have the best of luck when a close up fourth at Seymour last time out.

“He got held up in a small field,” Moroney said, “and in a slowly run race he was probably not in the right spot. Up to the 2200m he should prove hard to beat.”
