Wall Street - Singapore via Bendigo

The stable this week nominated Glass Harmonium and Wall Street for the Singapore Airlines International Cup in May and we are hoping that the latter can find deserved winning form at Bendigo on Saturday.

Desperately unlucky when held up over the final stages of last Saturday's Blamey Stakes, Wall Street did a great job to finish in the placings and he has pleased the stable with his progress since.

"It looked the right race for him last week because he was well-weighted and to see him boxed away on the rail was disappointing," Moroney said.

"But he has come through that run well and he looks nicely placed in the Golden Mile on Saturday."

"If he takes the same form from his past two starts," he continued, "he will be the horse to beat."

Whilst Steven Arnold sticks with Wall Street, Glen Boss will ride our other Golden Mile runner Zabisco who just needs the pace on to feature.

"He has had a little freshen up on the water walker," Moroney said, "and we are expecting an improved run from him."

Meanwhile the lightly raced and promising Bishops Castle is second emergency in the Bendigo Guineas and after his impressive first up victory at Sandown we have our fingers crossed for a couple of scratchings.

A horse who has always shown plenty of natural ability, the son of O'Reilly was a bit raw and green last time in but has improved after a gelding operation.

"It certainly seems to have been beneficial," Moroney said
