Team has a great day at home track

Ballymore New Zealand had a great day at our home track today, with four runners, each returning with a prize.

Post Xcellence was the first of our runners. He was ridden by Shaun Phelan. The pair got back a little further than what we had hoped and Posty ran keenly when in behind the field. As a result, Shaun opted to pull him out and made a timely run just before the bend, however he couldn't quite run down the leader and ended up running into second place.

It was then Revelator's turn. He looked a picture before the race and was very bright in himself, as you can see by the photo of him and his straper Raissa. He was ridden patiently by Michael Coleman and managed to push his way through a gap into the clear before running impressively away from the field.

Chad Ormsby commented "I rode Revelator last season and was impressed by him but I was of the opinion that he would only improve with time, and today he proved us right"

" I said to Michael if you have to go through a gap you will have to ride him hard to get through it, as he can be a tad field shy. Michael did just this and got the result we had hoped for. I am thrilled for Ned, Hugh and Dame Sian Fletcher who own him"

The next horse to represent the stable was Short Tale. She went out favorite and didn't let the punters down. "She is a real athlete and although I would have liked to have seen her with more condition on. She performed well today and is a horse I believe will improve as she gets stronger. She had to dig deep today" Chad reflected.

Our final runner was Madly Bentley who is owned by JML Bloodstock (Lib Patenga) and Paul Moroney who also own Short Tale. We were hoping to be able to give Lib and Paul two wins for the day, but it wasn't meant to be. However, Madly Bentley ran home well to end up third.
