From Kyneton to Pakenham - Ballymore's Thursday

Kicking off our day is First Appearance, Yulong's full sister to Ballymore's multiple Group 1 winner Tofane.

Finding the 1400m too short when contesting a strong metropolitan maiden at Sandown when resuming, the lightly raced four-year-old steps up to 1856m today and we are looking forward to an improved performance with Declan Bates aboard.

"She heads to the races in good order," Glen reported, "and she is getting up to a trip that suits her - though she will all the better over even further."

"She has a tricky barrier (8) but we are hopeful that she can improve on that first up run and we think she can be competitive in what looks to be an open race."

Burlington Gate is amongst the favourites in the fifth race at Pakenham and she certainly has her hoof right on the till having been so good - without things going her way - at each of her three runs this time in.

"She heads to the races as well as she has at her last couple of starts," Glen said, just hoping that "she has more luck than she has been having of late."

Running on well when resuming over 1400m at Geelong, the daughter of The Autumn Sun was badly blocked for runs when a close up fifth at Moonee Valley second up over a mile - at her latest outing over 1800m at The Heath striking interference before charging late.

Burlington Arcade is already a winner over 2000m, the distance of today's race and we are happy to have the in-form Ethan Brown back on.

"She has an awkward (9) gate again and will probably be back in the field as she has been at her last couple of runs but Ethan knows her well and we've been really happy with her."
