Eeteedee Impressive At Debut

Kariba Racing's Lynn and Chris Dziedzic have been great supporters of Ballymore Stables over the past 15 years and we were delighted to see their promising filly Eeteedee record a smart debut victory at Ballarat.

Whilst not brilliantly away from the inside gate, the two-year-old cruised up along the rails to take the lead and was always travelling well for Declan Bates - challenged briefly at the 200m only to put her natural determination on display.

Not only did she fight back when others came at her - she also actually drew clear from them late, a cheeky performance!

"I was not at all surprised by that," Declan said, "as she had jumped out really well."

"She is just a lovely filly, very straight forward and my job was quite easy, she was always travelling nicely."

"She got a bit lost at 400m but I like the way the penny started to drop from the 200m and she was strong through the line."

"She is not just a jump and run horse, she has good upside."

Glen was delighted by the performance which he described as "impressive."

"Declan was really confident going out and they controlled the race."

Glen was also happy by Eeteedee's composure at her first start.

"She can get a bit on her toes at home but tody she was a real professional."

Named after Lynn and Chris' daughter Emily Taylor Dziedzic, Eeteedee looks like becoming a real family favourite!

"We dragged Emily to race meetings all over the place when she was a kid so now she is a bit over it," Lynn laughed, hoping that this filly will ignite some passion for racing!

Eeteedee is the third winner produced by the city placed five time winning Commands mare Black Booty, also dam of the city winner The Hass and the metropolitan placed A Lot Of Booty.

Served last spring by Royal Meeting, she has a yearling filly by Star Witness.

Eeteedee boasts an interesting pedigree being line-bred to her own family, that which produced the great stallion Showdown whose outstanding grandson Zeditave is the second dam sire of Strasbourg.

A Gr.2 winning son of I Am Invincible, Strasbourg stands at Rosemont Stud. He has a nice link with local history - hailing from the same family as Todman and Noholme.
