Our Queen Ready To Reign

Whilst she has had a few set-backs during her campaign, the talented Our Queen (pictured courtesy of Racing Photos) heads to Sandown "as forward as we can get her," Michael excited to see the imported four-year-old back at the races.

Impressive easily defeating the next start Sandown winner Manhattan View when debuting at Bendigo last winter, Our Queen did a great job from a wide draw on that occasion and this time she jumps from barrier 2 with an in-form Craig Williams aboard.

"Whatever she does she will improve on," Michael said, "but she is the best horse in the race and she should get a cosy run from that gate which will help her get the 1400m first up."

"Her fitness levels are good enough and with luck in running she can win this."

Bred in Ireland raced by Trilogy Racing, Our Queen is by Dubawi's outstanding son Night Of Thunder out of a Street Cry mare who has also produced the US based Listed winner Raven's Pass.

She hails from a strong international family, able to boast amongst her relations the Gr.1 gallopers Steinlen (Breeders Cup Mile), Olmedo (French 2000 Guineas), Sunny Queen and the star Japanese mare Stacelita.
