Internationally admired Group 1 trainer Mike Moroney is returning to racing with a new perspective and a career-changing partnership.

Following a difficult period of ill-health, Moroney is back better than ever – and now has a ‘partner’ to help him take his famous Ballymore Stables to a new level.

Quietly-spoken astute horseman and trainer Glen Thompson will share the training ticket at Ballymore with Moroney.

Moroney has expressed his gratitude towards his loyal owners, staff, and family who have supported him through the past six months.

In an emotional message, Moroney reflected on his journey and the importance of his team, declaring his decision to return to racing comes with both renewed passion and a hunger for future success.

“The last six months have given me the time to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with the things that I truly love about the industry,” Moroney said.
