GROUP ONE RUNNER AT HOME TODAY

Two runners for us today on a Group One day at home including Bankers Choice in the feature.

Bankers Choice is one of 16 runners in the Group One contest over 2000 meters but has again drawn horribly, much to the chagrin of co-trainer Glen Thompson.

“The horses is in really good order and we’re happy with him, it’s just a pity he has drawn wide again, he has had no luck at all with barriers,” Glen said.

“From barrier 15 we will just have to take our medicine and see how it pans out.

“The distance suits him and as I said, he continues to work well and looks terrific so we need some luck in what does look a high-class renewal of this time-honoured race.”

Not An Option (pictured) runs in the sixth race over 1400 metres with Patrick Moloney to ride.

The horse is very well and taken nice improvement from his first-up run and his work on Tuesday was encouraging,” Glen said.

“He’s drawn nicely so we’d like to take advantage of that and give him every chance,” Glen said.

“It’s a competitive race as you would expect at this time of year at Flemington but with ordinary luck we are expecting him to run a good race.”
