EYES ON TWO STATES TODAY

Runners in two states for us today with Emissary and Heat Of The Night at Sandwon and Snapper in Adelaide.

Heat Of The Night is the first to go in race one on the Hillside course over 1400 metres with Jaylah Kennedy riding and co-trainer Glen Thompson is anticipation a forward showing.

“She’s been working well and heads to the races in good order and we’re happy with her,” Glen said.

“Although she’s inexperienced this looks a nice race for her. From the nice draw she should not be far away from the lead but it’s a small field so we will leave that up to Jaylah.

“All things being equal if she brings her trackwork to the races then we expect her to run well.”

Emissary runs in race six over 1800 metres with Billy Egan to ride.

“He’s fitter today and the good surface will suit,” Glen said. “He’s going there in good order and we’re expecting good improvement today, he just struck a heavy track first-up and he got tired.

"He’s done well since and on a better surface he should be running well today.”

Snapper (pictured) runs in the third race at Morphettville on the Parks track with Todd Pannell riding in the 1250 metre dash.

“The scratching have left four rivals which could play to his favour,” Glen said.

“He’s arrived there in good order, his gallop here on Tuesday was excellent and today looks a nice race for him, probably the softest he has run in for some time so there is evey reason to think he can get back to winning form.”
