Gregolimo, Big Watch and Milford are at Caulfield with Gregolimo the first to go in the third race over 2000 metres ridden by Tatum Bull.

The import continues to please the team in training.

“He is working extremely well and is really enjoying his work,” Mike Moroney said. “We are very happy with him going into this race and can't fault him.

“With the rail out 12 metres it is usually favours the leaders paradise so from barrier four we will aim to go forward.If he is able to get a favourable run then we feel he is a strong chance to breakthrough for his first Australian win.”

Big Watch is in the sixth race over 1200 metres under Jamie Mott.

“He is holding his condition well and continues to work well,” Mike said.

“He’s drawn nicely and Jamie knows him well. This is a typically competitive sprint handicap but out horse is racing consistently and with ordinary luck he can prove hard to beat.”

Milford (pictured) runs in race nine over 2000 metres with Luke Currie aboard.

“Milford returns to Caulfield today and runs over 2000m where his record at the distance and track is five starts for two wins and a second,” Mike said.

“He has drawn ideally with a very good rider on him. He just needs some luck during the run to get out and if he does we feel he will be hard to beat.”

Gold Lightning debuts in the second race at Wodonga over 1100 metres with Laura Lafferty to ride.

“She has been a work in progress but her work this preparation has improved,” Mike said.

“She’s had a couple of jump outs to have her ready and we’ve got her in a cross-over nose band to help.

“Scratchings have reduced the opposition to eight and she will jump from barrier four. Whatever she does today she will improve on but she’s ready to go and it’s a nice race to get her started.”
