THREE COURSES FOR US TODAY

Runners in three locations on a busy Saturday for the stable.

Coeur Volante (pictured) is in Brisbane for the Dane Ripper Stakes and Mike Moroney reports the daughter of Proisir is in good order for the Group 2 contest over 1300 metres where she will be ridden by Blake Shinn.

“She is thriving and has improved since her first-up run and she will strip fitter today,” Mike said.

“Her work this week has been first class and we feel with reasonable luck in running from barrier nine after scratchings she will be hard to beat.”

Four runners on the Hillside course at Sandown starting with Justadeel in the second race.

“He’s done well since his excellent first-up run and he looks suited by today’s race,” Mike said.

“I’m not too concerned about the wide barrier as he will likely go back and getting to 1400 metres today looks ideal.

“It’s a step up in class for him but I think he is up to it and expect him to run well.”

Stylish runs in race four over 1300 metres with Declan Bates aboard.

“She drops back in distance however, this is the only fillies only race available,” Mike explained.

“We don't think that will be a problem. She continues to work and do well and shows no signs of having had enough. In a very open race she is a good each way chance.”

Imported mare Speak starts a new campaign in the fifth race over 1600 metres and also to be ridden by Declan Bates.

“She has come back in great order and hasn't missed a beat,” Mike said. “We have been very happy with her jump outs and her work leading into this race. T

“This is an ideal starting race and she will be suited by the soft ground. From the wide draw we will go back and look for her to be finishing off strongly. If they go hard in front we will not be surprised to see her sneak into a placing but we know she will be better when she gets over further.”

Gregolimo runs in the last race over 1800 metres under Tatum Bull and a gear change.

“We have taken the cross over off as he didn't race with one in France or at his first start in Australia,” Mike explained.

“We have done a few different things with his training this week and he has enjoyed that and continues to work very well. With only 52 kg's on his back we will go forward and either lead or take a sit.

“We are expecting a much improved run today and at his best he can definitely win this race.”

Mark Of Zorro runs at Bendigo in the third race over 1600 metres with Jack Hill to ride.

“He’s had two runs now this preparation and gets out to 1600 metres which should suit,” Mike said.

“With that in mind we have taken the blinkers off to help him. The big track will suit him and with ordinary luck I expect him to prove hard to beat.”
