Three runners for us at Pakenham later today including Gunner on debut.

The Dundeel two-year-old runs in the first race over 1200 metres with Jordan Childs aboard and drawn nicely in four.

“We have been pleased with his jump outs and his work leading into this run has been very good,” Mike Moroney said.

“We expect him to be better as the distances get longer and he will improve with the experience.

“From barrier four he should get a lovely run and in what looks a strong two-year-old maiden where most are on debut we feel he is an each way chance.”

Justadeel runs in the sixth race over 1200 metres with Jamie Mott to ride.

“He’s first up following a nice spell and we’re happy with him,” Mike said.

“We’ve added a tongue-tie for today and while whatever he does he will improve on he’s a horse we have a bit of time for and he’s certainly good enough to win as we look to get him out over a bit further.”

General Firepower (pictured) rounds out the night in the eighth race over 1400 metres with Jordan Childs aboard.

“We couldn't be happier with the way he has trained on since his last run,” Mike said.

“His work this week has been excellent and although he has drawn wide we feel that isn't a disadvantage for him as he can take his time to get across.

“We have to just forget he went around last start because as soon as he was crossed he wasn't a chance. Back at the bigger Pakenham track where he won two starts ago we feel he is a strong each way chance.”
