IT'S A STYLISH SATURDAY

Stylish is in Adelaide today for the time-honoured Adelaide Guineas.

The Guineas is race six over 1600 metres with Stylish (pictured) to be ridden by Damian Lane from barrier three and Mike Moroney is expecting a bold show from the daughter of Lonhro.

“She hasn't left an oat since arriving over there and is ready to run a big race,” Mike said. "Her work at Flemington on Tuesday was terrific and she has definitely trained on since her good run at Mornington.

“The draw looks ideal and our plan will be to ride her just off the speed which looks to be good on paper and then pounce late.

“We could not be happier with her and with ordinary luck we expect her to run a big race.”

Closer to home Elkington Road is our other runner when he runs at Caulfield in the last race over 1400 metres with Zac Spain to ride.

“He’s done well after a spell and we’re happy with him,” Mike said. “He’s drawn nicely which is a big plus from this start at Caulfield and we’ve taken the blinkers off.

“He’s struck a pretty deep race for this class and he’s not well in under the conditions however, he's ready to go and it’s a good place to get him started as we build into the preparation.”
