WAR MACHINE READY FOR BATTLE

War Machine and Ceasar are our runners at Bendigo today with the promising War Machine in the feature Bendigo Guineas.

The $200,000 Listed race is over 1400 metres with Jordan Childs to ride War Machine (pictured) who will jump from barrier two.

The son of Harry Angel impressed winning first-up and has gone on improving.

“We understand he is jumping from a Class 1 to a Listed race but we are confident that he will handle the rise in class,” Mike Moroney said.

“Since his easy win last start he has gone forward and his work on Tuesday was very impressive.

“The barrier is a real plus and from there he should get the run of the race and give a big sight.”

Ceasar runs in race four over 1600 metres where he will be ridden by Patrick Moloney.

“Although he hasn't raced for a while he has had a jump out and had enough work on the track that fitness shouldn't be a worry,” Mike said.

“He continues to work well and is in great order. He has drawn wide which isn't ideal but if he jumps well we will go forward and hopefully he can sit outside the leader without doing too much work.

“At his best he can be in the finish and if you go on his work he should run well.”
