ANOTHER BUSY FRIDAY

Day and night runners for us today at Geelong and Moonee Valley.

Rolling Thunder and The Rooster run for us at Geelong with Rolling Thunder the first to go in the first race over 1521 metres under Jamie Mott.

“He’s had a good break and come back stronger,” Mike said. “His only run here was promising on a heavy track and it will be interesting to see him on a better surface here.

“He’s a stayer by Tarzino so today is probably on the shorter side for him but it’s a good race to get him started off.

“He’s ready to go after a couple of jumpouts and whatever he does today he will improve on but he’s fit enough to be competitive and I will be happy to see him running on through the line.”

The Rooster runs in the sixth race over 2233 metres and also with Jamie Mott aboard.

“He’s racing consistently and is in good order,” Mike said. “The wide draw is awkward as he usually races on pace but we’ll leave that up to Jamie.

“He’s fit and well and the extra distance should not be a problem and I’m expecting a good showing.”

At Moonee Valley tonight last start winner New Hampshire (pictured) runs in race six over 1200 metres with Jordan Childs riding from barrier one.

“We were not at all surprised by his first-up win and he’s come on for that,” Mike said.

“The scratchings have reduced the opposition to six and the inside draw should be a positive.

“Tonight is a harder race but he’s improved again and a repeat of his last start will have him hard to beat.”
