GEAR CHANGES AT KYNETON TODAY

Three Tuesday runners for us at Kyneton today with Mike changing the gear on Favanna to help her focus.

Favanna runs in the first race over 1115-metres with blake Shinn aboard and Mike is looking to the blinkers to help the three-year-old daughter of Fastnet Rock.

“She’s got good ability but she’s still a little wayward so I’m hoping the blinkers can focus her,” Mike said.

“We’ve worked her in them at home and she’s been sharp.

“She’s drawn to advantage, has Blake Shinn to assist and with ordinary luck I expect her to prove hard to beat.”

Pinotage starts a new campaign in race three over 1474-metres under Celine Gaudrey.

“She’s another one we’ve tinkered with, adding a cross-over nose band for today,” Mike said.

“She was a bit keen on debut but she’s done nicely since and she too definitely has ability.

“She has also drawn well and while she will improve for the run I expect her to be competitive.”

Golden Vitrine rounds out the day in the fifth race over 1881-metres with Danial Stackhouse aboard.

“I thought he would run better than he did last time at Geelong but just wanted to get it over and done with in a hurry,” Mike said.

“A repeat of his effort two starts back at Moe gives him a chance, he’s drawn out today which makes things harder but he’s fit and well and his best form should see him in the finish.”
