ZORRO OUT TO MAKE HIS MARK

Three runners for the team today with Dreamt Ofbein King at Kilmore in the afternoon and then Mark Of Zorro and Reputabelle at the Pakenham night meeting.

Dreamt Ofbein King starts a new campaign in race four at Kilmore over 1200 metres with Jamie Mott aboard.

“His owners have been patient with him so it’s good to get him back in action,” Mike Moroney said.

“He’s drawn to advantage and should be able to race on the speed and this is a good place to get him started again.

“Whatever he does he will improve on and I will be happy to see him run well and then we can work into the preparation.”

Mark Of Zorro makes his debut in the first race at Pakenham for two-year-olds over 1200 metres and the son of Toronado has pleased Mike Moroney at home.

“He’s always shown us promise and his work and jumpouts have been encouraging so it’s good to get him to the races,” Mike said.

“He’s drawn out a little bit but the scratchings have made things easier and he’s got a good jockey in Mark Zahra to help him.

There are some nicely bred sorts from good stables involved so it’s difficult to be confident but with ordinary luck I’m expecting him to be competitive.”

Reputabelle runs for the second time this preparation in the fifth race over 1400 metres under Jordan Childs.

“She got tired late first-up at Sandown but she’s taken nice improvement out of that and is there fitter for tonight,” Mike said.

“The soft track will not be a worry, top weight is my only concern however, she is the best in the field and if she can produce her best New Zealand form then she is well up to winning this.”
