IF IT'S FRIDAY NIGHT, IT MUST BE CRANBOURNE

Three Friday night runners for us at Cranbourne after a winning Thursday for the stable.

Connecticut and Credible Analyses both run in race two, the 3YO Maiden over 1600 metres with John Allen riding Connecticut.

“I was more than satisfied with his first-up effort at Pakenham and he’s done well since,” Mike said. “He’s a different horse indeed since being gelded and he’s very much in the Zabeel mould.

“I think his stablemate is the one to beat but Connecticut has drawn nicely, I’m anticipating the extra distance tonight to suit and with ordinary luck he should be in the finish.

Fred Kersley partners Credible Analyses who is second-up tonight.

“Credible Analyses was respectable first-up and he too has done well since his run at Pakenham last month.

“He’s a Highland Reel so the step up in distance tonight should suit him.

“Ordinarily I don’t like running our horses against each other however, both are eligible for VOBIS Gold and VOBIS Sires bonuses so the prizemoney is too good to refuse.”

Promising three-year-old Crimmo (pictured) is our other runner in race seven with John Allen in the saddle.

“He’s a nice horse and he did well during his spell after showing a bit of promise with a win on debut then placing at Sandown,” Mike said.

“Scratchings have reduced the field, we’ve put ear muffs on him for the pre-parade to keep him relaxed and while he will improve on whatever he does tonight he’s forward enough to run well.”
