DAY AND NIGHT RUNNERS FOR US

Day and night runners for us today with Unleash at Kilmore this afternoon and Do I and Philadelphia Storm under lights tonight at Pakenham.

Unleash runs in race four over 1600 metres with Jake Noonan riding and Mike Moroney is pleased with the progress of the daughter of Capitalist.

“She’s improved at both her starts and made good ground in the home straight last time at Pakenham over 1400 metres,” Mike said.

“She’s up in trip today but she’s indicating to me that she will be suited by it and she’s out of a Don Eduardo mare.

“The little bit of ease in the ground should suit and although she has drawn out the scratchings help so all things considered I’m looking for her to be competitive in what looks an even sort of maiden.”

Do I is in the third race at Pakenham over 1600 metres with Jordan Childs riding. The son of Tivaci finished fourth last time out at Moonee Valley over 1600 metres earlier this month.

“He’s done well since but he’s struck what does look a competitive maiden,” Mike said.

“Im pleased with him and he was placed at Pakenham two starts back so a repeat of that gives him a chance here.

“He’s drawn out but it’s a decent run to a sweeping turn and I’m sure Jordan will sort it out. Prodived he gets a trouble free run I’m expecting him to be competitive.”

Philadelphia Storm is in race seven over 1400 metres with Daniel Stackhouse aboard.

“I thought his first-up run was excellent finishing second here over 1200 metres and he will be better suited by the extra distance tonight,” Mike said.

“He’s trained on well since but he has also drawn poorly, staring from the outside however, scratchings have reduced his opposition to 10.

“I’m happy with him and this looks a nice race for him to notch another win.”
