Three runners for us on the Lakeside course at Sandown today including last start winner Our Total Recall.

Our Total Recall (pictured) runs in race four over 1600 metres with Michael Dee aboard and has pleased Mike Moroney since her last start win at Geelong.

“The track is currently soft which should be alright but if we did get a sudden downpour and the track is downgraded then I’d think about scratching,” Mike said.

“It’s obviously a tougher race than last time but she’s trained on well, will be suited by the distance and there is no reason why she can’t run well provided we don’t get a track downgrade.”

The Woke Waiter is the first to go for us in the first race over 1400 meteres with Jamie Mott to ride.

“I thought his debut run was more than respectable finishing third at Cranbourne and he’s done nicely since,” Mike said.

“He’s improved for the experience and he meets a similar field here. He’s untried on soft ground but I can’t see any reason why he will not be able to handle it and he’s there with an each-way chance again.’

New Jersey starts a new campaign in race seven over 1400 metres with Jamie Mott riding.

“He’s trained up nicely for today , it’s just a pity about the wide barrier but it’s a long straight run to the bend so I’m sure Jamie can sort it out,” Mike said.

“He won on debut on a soft track and then failed on a heavy track so i wouldn’t like to see anymore rain. He’s trained up for this nicely and I’m looking forward to getting him back to the races.”
