SATURDAY CHANCES FOR US AT CAULFIELD

Philadelphia Storm and Keats are our Saturday runners when they race at Caulfield.

Keats is the first to go in race five over 1600 metres drawn wide in barrier 12 of 13 with Daniel Stackhouse aboard.

The import was unsuited by the extremely heavy ground last time out at Sandown and Mike Moroney believes today’s better track will be in his favour.

“The track is on the improve so it should be ideal, his last race at Sandown it was just too heavy,” Mike said.

“It’s a deep enough race but our horse looks really well, he’s fit enough now after a couple of runs in so he needs to show us something today.

“The way he’s working he’s telling me he might get out over a bit further but provided he can get some luck from the draw he does have a couple of things in his favour so he’s there to run well.”

Philadelphia Storm (pictured) is in race eight over 1400 metres with Jye McNeil riding and to jump from barrier one.

“I’m really happy with him, he doesn’t need a lot of work to get him at his top,” Mike said.

"The race today has a lot of different form lines to try and decipher but our horse has always indicated to me that he is up to winning a nice race.

“I was very pleased with his first-up run, he might need a little bit of luck from the inside draw and all things being equal I am expecting him to run a big race.”
