SO YOU SEE AND SNAPPER AT THE VALLEY TONIGHT

So You See steps up to Group level tonight at Moonee Valley and Snapper has gained a run in the feature William Reid Stakes.

The scratchings of Marine One and The Inferno have allowed Snapper a start and the flying sprinter comes into the race in great from having won his last two starts at the track.

“He’s in at the deep end but he loves the course and is in great form so it seems too good an opportunity not to run,” Mike said.

“The main thing for him will be to fly the gates and I’m guessing Marabi will be there to pressure him and it will be a case of how far he can carry his speed in Group One company.

“He’s had a quiet week but is nice and bright and while I realise it is ambitious it is a horse race and our horse is in great form so we are going to have a crack.”

So You See (pictured) runs in the last race, the Group Three Alexandra Stakes over 1600 metres with Jamie Mott to ride.

Mike sent the daughter of So You Think to have a look around the course on Monday and was happy with what he saw.

“She’s inexperienced and had a good look around without having a strong gallop but handled it all well and Jamie said when she got some speed up over the last 400 metres she was all business,” Mike said.

“She’s eating well and has flowed through this preparation beautifully, her blood is great and she just keeps going forward.

“She’s drawn to enjoy a good run and it will be up to Jamie to work that out. If she can handle the track I’m sure she is up to this level and with ordinary luck I think she will be very hard to beat.”
