JUNGLE JIM AND WISAKA TO RUN AT SANDOWN

Jungle Jim and Wisaka run for us at later today at the Sandown twilight meeting.

Jungle Jim run in race five over 1200 metre with Jordan Childs aboard with Wisaka in the following race over 2100 metres under Jamie Mott.

Jungle Jim resumed with a win over 1200 metres in Class 1 company at Geelong in December and Mike Moroney is confident the four-year-old will prove up to city grade.

“His first-up win was excellent I thought and he has improved since,” Mike said. “Today is obviously a step up to benchmark 64 level but I’m confident he will not be out of place.

“He will end up top-weight after those in front of him claimed but Jordan has ridden him all three starts and gets on so well with him I’d rather keep the partnership going.

“Barrier two is a positive and he will put himself on speed and then should prove hard to beat.”

Wisaka (pictured) is ready for the step up to 2100 metres after two runs this preparation.

“He has run well both his starts this preparation, both on the Hillside course at Sandown and he’s over his right trip today,” Mike said.

“He has not been as lucky with the draw out in nine however, Jamie Mott is a big plus at this level and I’m sure he will be able to conjure something.

“It’s a handy enough race on paper but I’m happy with our horse and with ordinary luck I think he will prove hard to beat.”
