BENALLA BRACE ON MONDAY

Two runners for us at Benalla on Monday including the debut of Let’s Dazzle.

Let’s Dazzle (pictured) runs in race one, the 3yo Fillies Maiden over 1106 metres with Rhys McLeod aboard and jumping from barrier 10 after scratchings.

The daughter of So You Think has prepared with two solid jumpouts this preparation and Mike is keen to see her get to the races.

“I'm happy with her, she’s had a bit of practice at home and she’s ready for the races,” Moroney said.

“She’s bred to better over further being by So You Think out of a three-quarter sister to the VRC Oaks winner Personal.

“Having said that she pleasantly surprised me with the amount of speed she showed in her last jumpout

“It’s difficult to get a handle on the field with so many others on debut and only two to have raced with the favourite having stakes form so we’re going into the race with an open mind and it it’s time to get her started.”

Chawinda is our other runner in race seven, the benchmark 58 handicap over 1406 metres. Daniel Stackhouse is in the saddle and Mike is planning on being positive with the ride.

“She’s as fit as we can get her and ideally I’d like to go forward today if we can,” Moroney said.

“I’d be serious about leading if we can as I think that’s her best chance to get another win.

"There’s a bit of speed about but I do think that if we go forward and are lucky enough to get an easy lead then I think she can go close to winning.”
