MOE RUNNERS ON THURSDAY

Two runners at Moe for us on Thursday with Old Time Rock and Seattle Dancer travelling to Gippsland.

Seattle Dancer is the first to go in race two, the 3YO Fillies Maiden over 1200m where she has drawn barrier 11 and to be ridden by Michael Dee.

“The track is listed as heavy and we’re unsure how she will handle it however, we get early use of it so we’re taking our chance,” Moroney said.

“She’s handled soft going alright so with the drop back in trip today and a decent draw she’s there to run well.

“It’s a competitive looking race with some first starters we don’t know about but the question mark is the ground.”

Old Time Rock (pictured) will relish the heavy conditions in race nine, the class one handicap over 1200m with Fred Kersley aboard.

“He’s got conditions in his favour for sure and will jump from eight now after scratchings,” Moroney said.

“He’s dropping back in trip and I’ve taken the blinkers off.

“The draw might not be too awkward and he’s nice and fit so I’m expecting him to run well, especially with his favoured conditions.”
