Des Moines, Nordic and Lady Audrey on debut are our Wednesday runners at Caulfield while My Diamonds Galore gets the day started at Yarra Valley.

Des Moines is in race six, the fillies and mares benchmark 64 handicap over 1200m with Jordan Childs aboard.

“I’m very happy with her, she looks terrific, her first-up run was terrific and her work since has been excellent,” Moroney said.

“It’s an even looking race but if she can produce her best then she will be extremely hard to beat.

“I’m not concerned about barrier 12 as there is only one corner and she can blend in from where she is.

“There looks a bit of speed in the race and it is out where she has drawn so it should be to her advantage and with ordinary luck I’m expecting her to run well,”

Lady Audrey is in race one, the two-year-old fillies handicap over 1100m with Jamie Kah in the saddle and drawn barrier four of nine.

The daughter of Pride Of Dubai has shown Mike Moroney nice ability in training at home.

“Our girl jumped out nicely and has trained on beautifully - her last piece of work on Saturday was excellent and she is in good order,” Moroney said.

“Most of her rivals are on debut so it is hard to get a good guide on them but there are some good words about for some of them,”

“Jamie Kah rode her in her jumpout so the two of them have had some practice together and all things being equal I am expecting her to run very well.”

Nordic (pictured) commences a new campaign in race eight, the benchmark 70 handicap over 1440m with Mark Zahra aboard.

“He’ll jump from barrier eight after scratchings which is a help,” Moroney said. “He’s in off a long break but he looks great and his jumpouts have been first-class.

“The distance is short of his best but it is a good starting point for him and I will not be surprised to see him run a bold race.”

My Diamonds Galore is in race one at Yarra Valley, the benchmark 58 handicap over 1968m with Jamie Mott riding.

“She jumps from barrier one after scratchings and she is in good form,” Moroney said.

“It looks a stronger race but she is in good form and Jamie Mott is a plus. It should be truly run, we’ll ride her where she is happy and I think she should be hard to beat.”
