BONUSES ON OFFER AT WARRACKNABEAL

Bishop Rock and Electrifying Lady are our Monday representatives when they travel to Warracknabeal.

Bishop Rock is the first to go in race one, the 3YO Maiden Plate over 1000m with Jordan Childs riding from barrier one.

The son of Fastnet Rock has had one race back since being gelded and Mike Moroney was satisfied with his fifth place effort over 1200m on the synthetic, beaten less than 1-1/2 lengths.

“The track is rated soft (7) but we get first use of it,” Moroney said.

“He is working well and is as fit as we can get him - ordinarily we wouldn’t be going to Warracknabeal but this race has all the VOBIS bonuses so it’s a valuable race if he can win it.

“It doesn’t look the strongest of races - the track is my one query but he’s a gelding now, a stronger horse and as I said, we get first use of it so it will not be chopped about.”

Electrifying Lady is in race four, the Maiden Plate over 1800m with Patrick Moloney in the saddle and to jump from barrier five.

The Zoustar filly has had two starts back this preparation and is fitter for today.

“She’s going well and is fitter now,” Moroney said. “The one query I have is the going - she’s had two goes on rain affected tracks without success.

“It doesn’t look the strongest of races, there does look a bit of speed in the race so she’s drawn well.

“She’s fit now, should be able to take a forward position and she’s shown us she is looking for this distance so she’s got a few things in her favour and gets her chance to run well.”
